Proudly sponsored by PJL, professional motorcross driver Cody Burcher wrapped up the weekend at Wakefield Park for round two of the Australian Formula Ford Championship, and what a weekend it was!

In Cody's words, the weekend was a cracker...

"Typical Goulburn weather it was freezing cold and foggy all weekend but once the racing got going it more than made up for it!

Qualifying due to an oil spillage on track the session was cut short therefore only allowing us to get two qualifying laps in which we didn't quite maximise finishing third.

RACE ONE I made my way into 2nd place on lap one and chased the leader down by over a second to finish just under half a second behind at the finish.

RACE TWO I was able to get a good start and battle for the lead in the first few laps, I then bit my time and made a move last lap last corner to come away with the First Formula Ford win of the season which I was ecstatic about!

RACE THREE was red flagged due to an unfortunate crash from multiple other drivers, so it was classified as a non event, so no points were awarded to anyone for that race which was frustrating considering we were in a very good position. But the only thing that matters in that situation is that all the drivers walked away relatively unscathed!!

Very Positive weekend over all and I am very proud of the team and the effort we have all put in since the first round. With some extremely encouraging development and progress from Round One, wrapping up the round tied first but due to a qualifying countback I was second for the round!

Next round is in three weeks at Winton raceway, so i'll be working harder than ever to back this round up with one spot better on the podium!

Thanks again for all your ongoing support!"

We couldn't be prouder. Keep up the good work, Cody.
